I concede. Ok, but I'm not sure why you phrase it in that manner. All I can say is that Spirit is not definable by conventional means. Yet, you've tried, and I do commend your efforts, but there is no reason IMHO that it needs to be. It serves little purpose. However you take that is up to you. I, for one, choose not to accept that this place, this time, is all that there is of life... By all means, your beliefs are yours to embrace, I just can't bring myself to take hold of faith in unknowns.

I think that for my over-zealous need to "best" you in this case (though, I don't NECESSARILY mean it in that way), I must ask what you have been "in search of..." The only 'spirituality' for you, then, appears to be modern-day buddhism. No God, no Soul...sure they believe in reincarnation, but they never explain how. Thank you for the debate, and I hope that you allow me to contact you if I have any further questions about Qatama. What is their spirituality?

I must ask what you have been "in search of..." Well, not to sound too sardonic...If I knew, I wouldn't really be searching, would I. The only 'spirituality' for you, then, appears to be modern-day Buddhism. Not so much...especially since you didn't specify which sect. I have called myself Buddhist at times, but in recent months (if not years) I have drifted away from that label. I find the roots of Buddhism, as in Hinduism, to be far to fanciful and "faith based" for me. Thank you for the debate, and I hope that you allow me to contact you if I have any further questions about Qatama. What is their spirituality? If you could please, ask questions about Qatama in the Qatama forum, I'd be more than happy to answer them.

Hmm... The only thing I can say to you: Spirituality isn't for you. Believe it or not, being rational is being spiritual, too. If everything is 'spirit' (as most mystics say), then who you are and what you are doing is enough. And, with that, I draw back into the night.

Believe it or not, being rational is being spiritual, too. I feel I must forcefully disagree.

O-rak-to-raen-eo- 06-09-2008

Then, IMHO, there is simply NOthing spiritual for you to find, anywhere. It's been fun debating with you (and could you, please, delete this/our whole transaction). Guqra! Be well.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry. You may not think that I should be, but if I said anything that could have come off as rude, there you have it. Regardless of what you feel about anything "spiritual," the ultimate, intended purpose of it is to show that we are all the same...all One. Anything else does prove superfluous a lot of the time, I will admit. In the end, to each his own science, of course. Ga t'ha guqra.

Regardless of what you feel about anything "spiritual," the ultimate, intended purpose of it is to show that we are all the same...all One. Forgive me if this sounds rude, but I can't help but think your putting an overwhelming amount of effort into talking in meaningless circles. The majority of your posts on this board have been in this thread and they don't truly amount to much. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the participation, but I'd feel better if you'd given it as much thought as most of the others that have been a part of this discussion.

Fine...I suppose you are right. But, from everything that I have "allowed" myself to understand, EVERYthing that I have said is NOT supposed to be difficult, or require a great deal of thinking. Oneness with all things is an actually, rather, simple concept. And, forgive my rudeness, but I have a feeling that if you encountered something like a (completely irrefutable) psychic, you would either empirically dismiss it, or go apeshit from exposure to something that your mind doesn't understand. Many like yourself, to aleviate such occurences, depend on 'modern' science to qualify, for the viewer's capacity, all things in life that might provide a jolt to an individual's mind; things that might have the ability to tear down the walls of our perceptions of our precious, poisoned society. For me, I choose to keep my horizons wall-free, no matter what comes. I want my mind torn asunder, because I feel that life should be unlimited. (But, to even out the odds, I will say that I am ignorant and completely reliant on dogmatic laws.) ;) And, please, listen close...I do NOT want this WHOLE CONVERSATION to be here, even if that means that you delete my membership. I would rather NOT have to remember any of this...

And, please, listen close...I do NOT want this WHOLE CONVERSATION to be here, even if that means that you delete my membership. I would rather NOT have to remember any of this... Then you should have resisted the urge to post. I won't delete it, nor will I delete your membership, I didn't start this thread to look for "friends" or people that would tell me what I want to hear...quite the contrary, I wanted to hear the truth, about what others believe in, and why they do so, but you haven't given me much to work with and instead have conceded, asked off topic questions, asked to have the whole transaction deleted, drawn back into the night and made correlations that I find to be less than well thought out. If you'd rather NOT have to remember any of this, then I would simply suggest to you that you move on and attempt not to respond, as you seem not to be able to truly get your point across in a way that I can understand.
