Sympol
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/sympol.php The Sympol alphabet was invented by Charles McLaughin, who tried to make as simple and intuitive as possible. It has only 12 basic symbols and the few people he has shown it to found it quite easy to pick up. I don't think the symbols are very simple, but it doesn't hurt my eyes. ;)

Looks sort of sci-fi. Wish he'd use IPA in his key!

Looks sort of sci-fi. Wish he'd use IPA in his key! It says it's used to write English... Why do you need IPA for a neography?

Tolkien_Freak- 08-26-2007

IPA's better than writing with 'eye'. And the sci-fi comment was on the look of the script.

IPA's better than writing with 'eye'. Is English your native language?

Tolkien_Freak- 08-26-2007

Yes.

Sano- 08-26-2007

Yes. Then why do you need IPA for a script that is expressly meant for use with English?

Tolkien_Freak- 08-26-2007

I'm just saying it would be nice - I really hate English spelling.

The creator's e-mail is at the bottom of his submission, why don't you ask him to add it?

What's the point in arguing :P Seems like you two can't be friends... Feeling like some Kindergarten aunt... But the script is... Well, I think they are too similar. And I'd like them to be a little nicer to look at as well. But at least, it isn't as bad as that Drawer-Script

Sano- 08-26-2007

What's the point in arguing I don't see any arguing. Seems like you two can't be friends... Even friends argue, but we aren't arguing. Well, I think they are too similar. It has only 12 basic symbols and the few people he has shown it to found it quite easy to pick up.

Well, I think they are too similar. It has only 12 basic symbols and the few people he has shown it to found it quite easy to pick up. Which means...? That they should be similar? Anyway, it's not my type of script. Even though it is developed for English use and therefore, should be easy to learn, I'd like some more... inspiration!
