Maybe you should start modding in Qatama... Well, it would be adminning, and I don't think that's such a great idea. I just wanted to get this thread up to have a place to show random phrases and for people to ask for a phrase if they wanted to see it translated into Qatama.

Qatama has countless words that act as both nouns and verbs. Example: As a verb: noj al gaha ung koma ta with ART wood/foliage PST work/labor 1SG I was working with the wood. _______________________________________ As a noun: uj koma m`ha kura ga PL task/work more/many have 2SG You have more tasks(work).

Well, in the examples above ung marks the tense of koma, so obviously it's being used as a verb, and in the second example uj marks plurality, obviously marking a noun. The general article al is often used to mark a noun to eliminate confusion about it's role, especially in short phrases. q`na al koma - The work is shit(ty).

You have "why" in a post above; also you have "I don't understand", which is slightly different in meaning from "I don't know why". I might be able to put something together out of what you've already given ("nga monga ta nong qa"?), but "why" may change form when it's the object of "know" instead of a question; and I'm not sure how to say "know" instead of "understand".
