Okay, then. I had gotten the impression that we were going to sort of 'start time' eventually.

Okay, then. I had gotten the impression that we were going to sort of 'start time' eventually. What the hell do you mean? We have started, 17 Jul 2007 12:30 pm was the first post in this forum after the move from the old URL.

That's not what I meant, get the conworld moving so that it was more like a history in the process of being written rather than a bunch of cultural information. That could probably have been worded better.

That's not what I meant, get the conworld moving so that it was more like a history in the process of being written rather than a bunch of cultural information. Well, that means people have to get to work, and if you want to start yelling at people about not doing anything, be my guest, it won't help. Or, you could do some work, post it and then wait for the rest of us to follow suit?

Sano- 10-31-2007

It has now been more than a week since anyone has added any country info. I think I will wait one more week and then shut down the project. Any objections should be sent to me in a PM.

Hakaku- 10-31-2007

I blame the burden of school :(

Tolkien_Freak- 10-31-2007

I would put more, but I'm waiting for other people. I think we need a little more than two weeks before something like this is shut down. More like a month or so.

I don't know - I guess I've run out of things to think about. I'll probably post that list from 'The Zaharam-Chapelle-Parunas Ethnographical Questionnaire' soon..

I don't know - I guess I've run out of things to think about. Then why worry about the continuing of the project?

Tolkien_Freak- 10-31-2007

Because of what I had originally thought:more like a history in the process of being written I wish it was that.

Sano- 10-31-2007

Because of what I had originally thought:more like a history in the process of being written I wish it was that. The only problem is that no writing is being posted.

Hakaku- 10-31-2007

I do agree things aren't moving fast, but they are moving somewhere at least. It's hard for me at least, to find a lot of time to write and design things. I do have some information which I haven't added yet, mostly because I feel it's incomplete, or that I'd prefer writing more info than just 1 paragraph at a time and posting it. It also gives me a reason to keep doing what I like and expanding on the idea: conlanging/conworlding, but you get to do it with others, and share your work. As for TF's previous thought, the "start" one, I think it's not so much a question of when do we start something, but rather time. Maybe after a month or so, time shifts about 25-50 years. This could force us to have inter-nation contact, or expansion, cultural borrowings, etc. It could also give some people more history to write, such as adding wars, or some notable events during those 50 years.

Tolkien_Freak- 10-31-2007

That's a good idea. We need to have something other than 'this is what the nation looks like' happening. A month is kind of a long time, but I can understand being unable to find time to do this.

Sano- 10-31-2007

One week stands. If I see some activity before then, cool, if not I will lock up the thread and archive it for refernce purposes.
