Notes on Expansion Recently, many countries have gotten the itch to push their borders. While this is good, do remember the scale in which this is occuring. A while ago I did estimates on country sizes and found my own nation, Skjeimitekann, to be relative to the size of Algeria in Africa. That's a big space.
I'm not going to try to stop those who want to lay claim to entire halves of continents, but realize the claim will be very difficult to enforce, since the gains will be very distant (without a preexisting transportation infrastructure) and the locals will be less than willing to give up their lives for the guy who just beat them into submission.
Plus, empty space doesn't mean you can't cross it to another place, it just means its beyond the direct controll of any one nation.
