Minimal Stacking alphabet http://www.omniglot.com/writing/msa.phpThe Minimal Stacking alphabet was invented by David Conant as an alternative alphabet for English. He use it for notes, grocery lists, experimentation, and mostly for fun.
It's hardly minimalist considering it's letter for letter rather than phonetic, and I de-*test*-('") the use of punctuation as a "script", but apparently this is for 'fun'.

It looks hard to read, and I find the overall look slightly annoying.

its like a very poor and ugly shorthand.

It just doesn't feel consistent to me. If a vowel starts at the beginning of a word, it'll be placed alone. Elsewhere, consonants and vowels are generally paired in twos where possible. Exceptions include, what I noted to be stacking of consonants over consonants, as in 'mn', but not in other words as in 'a.l.l.' . Ok, so it makes sense because both characters are on the same level, while 'mn' are above and below, but it's weird when it comes to "t". He allows triple stacking, as in "hts".
If I were dyslexic, I'd have trouble reading this as some characters are only distinguished by height, and many others involve just flipping or rotating the character. It's also tough to distinguish words sometimes, as in 'act', from 'cta'.
