Greetings, I bear stuff
First off: Hi :) Secondly, I am Hiato (as you may have gathered by now) and I wish to actively participate in this board for three main reasons: 1. Linguistics - 'nuf said. Well, essentially, it has always interested me intensely (not as a whole, but good portions), and although I'm a relative newbie, this looks like a good place to start 2. Intellectual discussions and the lot. You guys are smart. Really smart. This being said, it can only be beneficial for me to engage in conversation with you and glean whatever possible knowledge I can ;) 3. I have, believe it or not, started a language of my own, born out of the frustrations of those languages with which I am familiar (English, Afrikaans, Hebrew and a touch of Zulu). I believe this place to be the best place to put forward my ideas and receive input. There is a forum set up over at http://eyo.icr38.net/phorum/ for those interested. All the above said, my hobbies are also: Playing Tennis, Playing Saxophone, Playing Computer, Programming, Creating Programming Languages, Mathematics, Science, Cryptography, AI and a few more which I cannot seem to recall now.
