French Syllabics - ᙒᙓᗪᕒ ᕑᐋᙐ
Since I've been intrigued by the Canadian Syllabics lately, I thought I could attempt to derive an alternative writing system for French based on them. I mostly based the phonology and character correspondance off Carrier Syllabics, because it has the most room for additional vowels and consonants, when compared with something like Cree. There are also slight influences from Ojibwe and Sekeni Syllabics. Anyhow, since it's more nicely formatted, I've compiled everything into a PDF (or .DOC) document which you can download from one of the links below (If the links go dead, please don't hesitate to tell me so I can update it). Questions, comments and criticisms are welcome. The LanguageGeek has quite a number of them available for download here. I recommend the Euphemia font, which is available here. If someone can't display or download these for various reasons, please say so, and I'll upload a full-scale image somewhere.
