Etyantura
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/etyantura.php Etyantura was dreamt up by Michael Landau-Spiers in 2007 for his conworld and for use in a story he is writing but it was only in 2008 that the characters took their final forms. Etyantura is an abjad come syllabic alphabet used to write the language of Mazaiyu. It could also be used to write English in theory. The name Etyantura comes the first three letters; Et (e), Yan (y) and Tura (t). The Mazaiyu language is meant to sound fairly smooth, with lots of vowels and, in some ways could be described as a cross between Hebrew and Italian, or maybe Japanese. An original and unique system...one that has tremendous potential in many respects. Not as refined as it could be IMHO, but very nice none-the-less. Scripts like this one should be the aspiration of most conscriptors. http://www.freewebs.com/symbolmaster/etyantura.htm A nice site, with a decent amount of info.

Hi, I only just recently found this site and was amazed to see my language as a subject on it! I'm very glad you like my script and I know it has some flaws but thank you for the praise. I was wondering if you could tell me, in your opinion how I could refine it? I'm open to all suggestions and help. :)

Thanks, Sano. And, @Arrow; thanks for your work and for showing it to us.

I was wondering if you could tell me, in your opinion how I could refine it? The script in and of itself is actually very nice, the most promenent issue I see is the presentation thereof. I would suggest you become more familiar with X-Sampa or IPA, so that we may have a better (or more precise) understanding of the phonemes represented by your script. Secondly, and more to do with aesthetics, I would recommend you spend some time with a few graphics programs...I can tell that your submission to Omniglot was a scanned image, but even scanned images can look clean and almost like professional artwork. Gimp, for starters would be a great tool for you to learn about and use.
