Deini
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/deini.php The Deini Script was invented by Dana Nutter to write a conlang also called Deini. The Deini language is based on Germanic languages (mainly English and German), Slavic languages (mainly Russian), popular Romance languages, Newspeak, Nadsat, Sasxsek, Classical Latin, Classical Greek, and with small influences from other world languages. It's a bit Tengwar-ish in nature, and I think it would lose a lot of it's feel in a handwritten version. I do think it's a nice script, though.

It doesn't look too much like Tengwar to me. It looks a bit strange - sort of sci-fi.

It doesn't look too much like Tengwar to me. It looks a bit strange - sort of sci-fi. I don't think it looks like Tengwar either, I think the systematic nature of the graphemes is remeniscent of Tengwar.

Yeah, but I saw less in this than in Tengwar.

Yeah, but I saw less in this than in Tengwar. So? That doesn't mean that it isn't remeniscent of Tengwar, does it?

I guess not, it just didn't scream 'Tengwar' to me. Anyway, it looks like something that would be used in a sci-fi movie.
