Name: Auxillayre (From one of NationStates profiles) Capital: Auxillaidol Major Cities: Auxvartymdul, Termonedol, Ectavarste, and Dendronaedol Flag: Purple, with a picture of a silver tree. A chinese-looking sapphire dragon forms a circle around the tree. A sun is in the backround. I'll try to draw it ASAP. Languages: Auxillain (the official language, yet to be created) and Ectavyn (The language spoken by the largest minority group. Still in the works) Map: Population: Probably around 8, 000, 000*. ~75% is Auxillairan, ~20% is Ectavyn (the tribe and language have same name) and ~5% is other assorted minority groups. Climate: Tropical. Very warm, and in general very wet, but does have wet and dry seasons.* National color is silver. Natural resources: Exotic plant and animal products. Rich minerals in the western area**. Currency: Ahyxhrere (similar to cocoa beans, but to be offficial recognized they must have a specific pattern painted). Manufactured Goods: Many domestic crops, timber and animal products. Seeking: Metals, plant and animals that aren't native, instruments, art. Government: Absolute Monarchy Stability: Stable, but undergoes a change in power every 700 years, more or less. The changes occur because the old family died out, and a new one is elected. Origin: Used to be mixture of tribes, that eventually became unified under one ruler, the Auxillairan. The Ectavyn have put up a large fight, and peace came quite recently. Most of the other tribes have been assimilated. Climate: Tropical/Subtropical** Arable land: 100%* Terrain: Rather flat because of massive erosion from the monsoons.* Heavily forested with much biodiversity. Religion When the Auxillairan unified the tribes, they also spread their religion. According to their beliefs, the god gave them nature and trust the people to take of it. The people were decreed to keep nature and make it better. In thanks for the gift of their environment, they build/grow giant temples to honnor their gods. The Auxillairan conquered the surrounding land when a prophet stated that they must care for all the land where the trythos tree grew. The army realized the profecy, and the priests told the people the gods were pleased. The gods discourage fighting, because it harms the environment. People take days of on a regular basis so they can offer sacrifices to their gods. General Information They are in to new and exotic organisms because their religion forbids all items except those made of bronze, iron, or glass. Precious metals and gems are used to create altars for their gods. Glass is used extensively in art, buildings, gardens, and everyday items. Their metals are used to craft weapons. The Auxilairans will do anything to protect their massive temples. Their writing is remiscent of the Maya. They have also learned to preserve wood. Houses are usually built in the trees to provide safety, but markets, temples, and schools are built on the ground. The buildings usually consist of pillars of wood with wood laid on top (kind of like the Parthenon). Agriculture is completely organic. They have replanted acres of the forest to favor crops with high yields. They do not use fertilizer because they do not need to. They do not pollute, so they can fresh drinking water from the main river and their wells. Disease is not a major problem because they have countless natural remedies from the diversity of plant life, but during the monsoons, disesase booms because of the mosquitos. The Military is rather large, and all people must serve at least 5 years, although most serve at least 10. The military is divided into Siege, Cavalry, Ranged, and Foot. The Siege section contains many siege weapon. They are made of wood and coated with glass to make them fire-proof. The Cavalry consists of various tamed beasts, and the warrior who ride them. The Ranged uses bows and arrows. Last but not least, the Foot soldiers fight on dry land. They are armed with spears and swords. Auxillayre does not have a real navy. Their hodge-podge collection of boats serve mainly to fish and to gather sand to make glass. The military is VERY large, although it exists solely to protect the temples and destroy those who attack the temples, or are in some way threatening the temple's.
