Actually I've looked into Obama more after reading this thread, and I have realized that he is more experienced than I thought.... Apparently, many people have been as pleasantly surprised as you...

Apparently, many people have been as pleasantly surprised as you... That's probably true, I felt much more favorable about the prospect of an Obama presidency after looking into his biographical information.

So, I listened to Sen. Clinton for an hour today on Meet the Press and I must say she handles herself well. I do not think she is the right person to be prez now though...she is simply too political and I don't think she would get much done.

http://kjzz.org/news/specialreports/2008/elections/selectacandidate Yesterday my top four were Clinton & Obama tied for 1/2, and Edwards and Giuliani tied for 3/4. Today they are Edwards, McCain, Obama, and Romney, tied for 1/2/3/4. I don't know what I did different. My bottom four, today as yesterday, are Thompson (4th from bottom), Gravel (3rd from bottom), Huckabee (2nd from bottom), and Paul (dead last -- I get a zero correlation with him (don't agree on anything).) I think yesterday I had Huckabee above Gravel, but the bottom four are pretty consistent today compared to yesterday. I tried again at http://www.kuow.org/elections/selectacandidate.asp This time I got Edwards, Clinton, Obama, and Huckabee as the top four -- no ties. The bottom four were McCain, Hunter, Thompson, and Paul. I really don't know what it proves, except that I really don't want Ron Paul to become President this year. Anyway, nationwide, it looks like: Obama has the lead at 13%; Clinton, Thompson, & Edwards are in a three-way tie for 2nd/3rd/4th place at 12%; and Kucinic and Hunter are tied for 5th/6th at 10%. Of course as the site itself points out, their sample has no scientific claim to being representative. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: OK, I tried it again at http://www.wvtf.org/news_and_notes/elections.php and this time I got: Clinton and Obama tied for 1st/2nd; Edwards 3rd; McCain & Romney tied for 4th/5th. The bottom ones were: Ron Paul in last place; Hunter & Thompson tied for 2nd/3rd from last; Giuliani 4th from last. I guess I'm "undecided".

hmm...It had Edwards as my number 1 choice at 15.0 and Hilllary as my second choice at 14.0. It had Obama at 10.0 and my number 4. Surprisingly it had Huckabee as my number 5 at 9.0. It had Giuliani as last for me, at 2.0.

Sano- 01-15-2008

Wow, it has Edwards at 20 and Clinton and Obama at 18 each for me...that is surprising. Makes one think.

Michigan's primaries were today. Write-ins were not allowed. In Michigan's Democratic primary there were only two choices: "Clinton" and "Uncommitted". But I heard on the news that the results wouldn't be used anyway. So I voted in the Republican primary. I wasn't voting for anyone so much as I was voting against some of them. Anyway I voted for one of my top few Republicans.

Based on recent events, I think it will be a general election with McCain and Obama...and Ralph Nader has issued a statement that he will run if Hilary Clinton receives the nomination.

Well Hillary won my state (Ohio). And they say that whoever wins Ohio usually wins the general election....... (Though McCain did Ohio as well on the Repub. side). Not a surprise, of course.

Well Hillary won my state (Ohio). And they say that whoever wins Ohio usually wins the general election....... (Though McCain did Ohio as well on the Repub. side). Not a surprise, of course. Although she won, she is still behind in the delegate race. Also, Obama has more supporters that can still donate, as well as a more organized campaign. As far as McCain, all he needs now is a conservative running mate and he might actually win.
